At the end of the course, the drivers will be able to:
➢ Drive with clear and efficient and planned long-haul journeys incorporating strategically timed reststops atlocations offering adequate facilitiesfor quality rest
➢ Develop a personal strategy to manage the impact of time zone changes on their sleep-wake cycle during long-haul routes.
➢ Identify and address potential sources ofstress and workload demands associated with long-haul driving that can exacerbate fatigue.
➢ Know the difference between being 'just tired' and being truly fatigued. Learn to recognize the warning signs—like brain fog, irritability, orslow reactions—in yourself and your buddies on the road. Recognize the key factors that contribute to fatigue, including both work-related elements (e.g., long hours, high-stress tasks) and personal factors (e.g., poor sleep hygiene, diet, and lifestyle choices).
